Most of you must be wondering where AV05 is... yes, it's a little late, but we are almost done... you should be able to pick up a copy by the end of the month. We will be posting some info about where you can get your free copy here on the News Pages, so stay tuned over the next couple of weeks.
Biggest news is we have 2 new crew members who have joined the AV team and are going to make sure the videos roll out on time and look better that ever. Joubert van Staden will be heading up the production team and his bro Jansen van Staden has stepped in as head of Sales. We are super proud and stoked to have them on board as they are not only proper stand up gents, but 2 amazing skaters with their hearts in the right place. Welcome to the team guys... looking forward to working with you and making good things happen.
As for me: I'm stepping into dad shoes in a couple months so I'll be spending a lot of time changing diapers and chasing after my new baby daughter. But I'll be directing from the sidelines and keeping the site up to date in between all the sleeplessness.

AV05: We are a little behind schedule for this next issue, but it should be out in January and it will be free at selected skate shops around the country or available at the AV online store. So we'll let you know as soon as you can go get it.

Darren Jacoby has just returned from his trip to the States, which he said was amazing. On the team with him is Kanya Spani. We are still looking for a representative from Durban, if you think you got what it take to get on the team, drop us a mail.

Our summer line is out and currently available in Cape Town at Rust, Closet Space and will soon be available on the AV site, so check it. We got 3 styles of shorts and boardies with pockets. The titty T-shirt series is a winner and is moving fast. We have flex fit caps and vests on the way too.

Gary McNaughton, Kulu Dlamini and Nkosi Dlamini arrived in Jozi last week to come skate and film Kulu and Nkosi leave on Wednesday, but have been tearing up the Joburg spots. Kulu's been killing it this weekend, so we'll run an interview with him once we've collected a few more clips before he leaves on Wendesday. Gary's sticking around for a few weeks so if he get's enough footage, we'll give him an interview too. Durban represent.

Got some good news from Boogaloos today that they may be changing their helmet policy at their parks so we'll finally all be able to go have less sweaty head sessions like the good old days. Will post up info as soon as it's official. Let's hope for some long awaited sensable rules!

I just got the very sad news that yet another of our young skaters from Cape Town has been killed in a tragic car accident. Our hearts go out to Deriks family and friends. He will be dearly missed by us all.

| Edenvale Park Revamp |

Just got back from the Edenvale Park. Aldin organised a fun day there, being national braai day and all, and it was really good. They are going to upgrade the park and get a shop and cafe going. Sounds good.. Sessions are cheap (like R 10.00 for half day or R 15.00 for a full day) and the vibe is really mellow, no hemets or bouncers... really good. Thanks Aldin for making this happen. We need more 'real' parks like this... a lot more. I'll upload the footage from today soon - so stay tuned... dudes were killing it. Great turn out, great day... hope to see you there soon.

| Gavin Adams Weekend Postponed due to Car Accident |

We are going to have to put Mozy's weekend article off until Issue 06 as he has just recently had a car accident. He's sustained a knee injury after crashing into a tree and writing off his BMW during what seems to have been a botched hijacking. We wish you a speedy recovery Moz and look forward to seeing you back on board again soon.
